INT. DON’S OFFICE – DAY
Joe Messina hurriedly walking up a narrow flight of stairs. He is dressed in a smart suit and hat. He comes up to a door. Knocks twice, and enters.
Alexsandro Messina is alone in his office gazing through the window. Joe Messina walks directly to the centre of the room. His face is expressionless.
JOE MESSINA:
My Brother
ALESSANDRO MESSINA:
Aaaaaah My brother. You bring me good news I trust?
JOE MESSINA:
He isn’t going to be a problem anymore.
ALESSANDRO MESSINA:
(TO LUCIANO MORETTI) Luca! Go help your brother dispose of the body.
EXIT LUCIANO MORETTI
Alessandro sits down at his desk, looking pleased with himself, lights a cigar and pours a drink for Joe and himself. He smugly sips his drink.
ALESSANDRO MESSINA:
Where is Miele!
JOE MESSINA:
She is safe, She is at the estate,
With Carlo
(Alessandro swears loudly in Itallian)
NT.BASMENT ROOM – DAY
A group of men are sat playing a game of poker, Joe Messina looks down at his cards. A young Luciana Messina is serving drinks. She walks around the table and replaces the empty glasses. She replaces the glass of Joe Messina then lightly taps him on the shoulder.
One of the players, Leo Ramone, takes a sip of his drink; he looks around, and starts to look dazed and confused. Joe Messina looks over his shoulder to Luciana Messina;
JOE MESSINA:
You play a good game Leo Ramone, but you must remember,
Ramone puts his cards down on the table to reveal a royal flush, the highest hand in poker. Then collapses on top of them.
JOE MESSINA:
One of us must lose.
The body is dragged away.
EXT. GRAVEYARD – DAY
A Young man, Marco Ramone, is looking down at a huge tombstone. He is holding a photo and a rose. His girlfriend, Marilyn Johnson walks up behind him and reaches for his hand.
MARILYN JOHNSON:
Are you alright?
MARCO RAMONE:
I’m going to find who did this to my father. I make a promise
Marco breaks away from the hug and drops the rose and photo on the grave. They turn hand in hand and walk away.
